Welcome to www.JoCo-Scanning.info, my collection of radio scanner information for the Grants Pass/Josephine County, Oregon area! I do hope you find this documentation useful to you. I've gathered this information mostly from first-hand experience as well as from several readers and contributors of the site.

To quickly navigate the site, you can use the navigation bar near the top of this screen and click on the section you'd like to visit. You can jump to different parts of each section with the links on the left. What follows is a quick description of each section:

Home

You are here. Basic site information, navigation, contributors to this site, and webmaster contact information.

Radio Basics

Contains general scanning information, legality and caution notes, links to radio equipment sales sites, and information on hooking your scanner up to a computer or recording device.

Frequencies

Contains local scanning frequencies for Police, Fire, and EMS services, sorted by area and service. Pick and choose your favorites to program into your scanner, and print up lists for easy reference later.

Radio Lingo

Contains common radio procedures and language for the major Police/Fire services in the area. Go here to get help in learning how to break apart and interpret everyday radio dialogue.

Hear a term or acronym that has you stumped? Don't know your DL from an ATL? Check here to see if it's already been documented.

Before you try to contact me, please remember that managing this website isn't my only job, and I'm generally kept pretty busy between my "real" job and home. If you have a question, please check the website over once more for the information you are looking for to see if you may have accidentally overlooked it.
